Back from the “ing” break!

Standard

yes, it’s been forever since i’ve blogged. i’ve been bad. i admit it. but, in my defense, i do have a life. and life gets busy. between taking care of the family, doing endless loads of laundry, watching my hockey games, and learning new things with the hubby, my days sometimes become a blur.

i’ve also been doing some travelling in and out of the country thanks to my husband’s business. i love that i get the perk without having to do the work! thanks to the long flights, i’ve managed to remember how much i love to read and got caught up with ALL of Jane Green’s novels. yes. i can now say that i have read all but one of her books.

i’m coming up on my two year anniversary on Etsy and am continuing to grow my business….which involves tons of time creating cards and other items, listing and promoting them and, of course, hours spent hoping that my loyal customers will tell some new customers so i can keep doing what i love.

right now i am working on both Mother’s Day and graduation cards. should you need either one or a card for any other occasion, please come visit me at http://www.etsy.com/shop/19Designs.

until the next post….

happy everything!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas….

Standard

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while….just been super busy since Thanksgiving with orders and trying to finish up a mini christmas album! and going to the Kings games and taking care of family responsibilities…..you know, the usual…..

The good news is that there are now lots of christmas cards for sale in my etsy shop as well as the christmas mini….photos of which i will post here so you can see the full mini!

While many of you are looking for inexpensive christmas gifts and/or stocking stuffers, may i suggest the coasters that are on the shelves or perhaps the mini vintage photo box?

For the new mom, there are plenty of baby albums available which would make great christmas gifts.

Here’s a look at the christmas mini which is now listed for sale…..

Should you like a certain christmas card and need an additional amount, please feel free to convo me.

Halloween sale and holiday news….

Standard

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are almost upon us! Where did this year go? I have been absent from the blog world as of late because I have been really busy with my ETSY shop, my family, puppies, and LOS ANGELES KINGS!

Halloween has always been a busy time of the year for me and this year was no exception! I still have some Halloween cards available….and they are now ON SALE!  Save 15% off all Halloween cards and Halloween mini album still on the shelves! This mini has tons of places for photos and is loaded with embellishments! It’s got textured and distressed papers as well! There’s still time to buy and get all items mailed to you before the big day….um…..I mean night! lol

I will soon be turning my attention to Thanksgiving…..and have a new line of papers by Teresa Collins that I will be using to create my cards. They are so beautiful….I can hardly wait to start ! Thanksgiving is a time of family and reflection and it’s always nice to show you care with a handmade card.

Hanukkah and Christmas cards will be following shortly thereafter. I will also have a x-mas mini that would make a wonderful gift or stocking stuffer! It might be a mini, but it’s got plenty of room for photos and is soooo cute! What better place to hold those x-mas memories old or new?

I just finished creating a special album for a very old and dear friend of mine! It’s taken 6 months to create this 12×12 album just because I had to work on it in between taking care of my family and working my etsy shop. I love how it came out and am so excited to give it to her! It was created as a memory for her 30th wedding anniversary party! How amazing is that?!

Should you like to have a special album made just for your photos, please do not hesitate to convo me at my shop to talk details!

In the meantime, head on over to my etsy shop and check out the ghouls and goblins that are hanging around my shelves! If you don’t need any spooks, there’s plenty of other cards and albums you may like!

Happy Sunday!

It’s FINALLY hockey time!

Standard

I have waited for this moment since last June……and it’s FINALLY arrived! Hockey season has officially begun and my boys will be taking the ice tomorrow morning in New York to show the Rangers that there’s a new team in town! We have made many changes during the off season, some of which I personally am not happy about, to wit, the trading of Wayne Simmonds and Brayden Schenn. They gave up an all around player in Simmonds and a probable future hockey star in Schenn. I am hoping that Dean Lombardi made these deals for the betterment of our team in the long run and not just in the hopes of winning the Stanley Cup NOW. Our old team jelled so well….they were young, hungry….they all liked each other both on and off the ice….they were a family. And we, their fans, felt it. I hope DL didn’t break them up for nothing. I hope this new team picks up where the old team left off. I also wish Drew woud have signed a lot earlier, but at least he’s signed and staying.

As I write this post, I am watching an incredible moment in hockey history….the Boston Bruins, both current and old school players, on the ice to raise the Stanley Cup banner. It’s incredible seeing Bobby Orr, Derek Sandstrom, and Johnny Bucyk on the ice together again. I have goosebumps……it just doesn’t get any better than this unless, of course, it’s us watching our Kings doing the same thing!

Happy Hockey Season to all my hockey friends! GO KING GO!

It’s that time of year again…..

Standard

i am now starting to post halloween cards in my etsy shop! currently, there are just a few posted as no sooner did i post my first ones, they were snatched up by one of my loyal customers! i have many, many more to post…..just need to stop making them and start photographing! i am hoping to have quite a few more listed by weeks end. typically, halloween cards have been my best and quickest sellers, so if you are in the market for some cards, be sure to check daily for new listings. and if you saw something you liked, but it was gone the next time you looked, feel free to convo me to see if i can do another….. here’s a couple cards now on the shelves…..happy hAunting for that perfect card for your little ghoul or goblin!

halloween mini…..and yes, the cards are coming!

Standard

i can’t believe that Halloween is next month! i love halloween….and all the whimsy, spooky, and creative decorations and costumes that i see! my favorite part is seeing the little ones in their cute costumes and giving them candy that they will enjoy. it’s a happy, fun holiday….and i wish more people got into it on a larger scale! i hate seeing kids disappointed because a house is dark or because they ran out of candy. Halloween should be a party for the kids…all. night. long!

i made my first pumpkin mini album. here is a partial tour of the pages. it is now listed for sale on my etsy shop. hope you like it!

these are most of the pages…..but, i had to keep some out to leave to your imagination….:)

i am also starting to work on halloween cards and those will be posted soon, so keep checking in!
